Simple and eccentric. Quiet and wild. Reserved and outgoing. Spontaneous and indecisive. Just a few words of many that can describe what kind of woman I am.
I’m 30 years old and live in Sioux Falls, SD. I have been paralyzed since I was 15 due to the rare virus Transverse Myelitis. That left me a T1 paraplegic. I also have been battling the disease Lupus since I was 10 years old. Life hasn’t been easy with either, but I try to live every day like it was my last.
I’m a free spirit, no drama, and I don’t take bull shit from anyone. I’m very strong in my ways and some people can’t handle that. I was once a very shy girl, but I have let that go to speak my mind. If you don’t like it – tough.
I am addicted to the Dallas Cowboys. There should be a 12-step program for me. I love Dale Earnhardt Jr. and watching NASCAR. I also love music, concerts, most sporting events, and traveling.
I love salsa, but hate tomatoes. Figure that one out. I’m not as picky of an eater as I used to be, but still pretty picky. I still adore Cookie Monster and Scooby Doo. I like horror movies, but anything with a scary clown mask scares the shit out of me. I’m deathly terrified of bugs and spiders (or anything gross), but trying to learn to deal with em. ICK! If you wanna know anything else just ask me.

You look very beautiful!!! And a Mori Lee wedding gown would be perfect for you!!! You are going to look just Stunning fabulous! Believe me! :)
Your only down-fall is those cowgirls!!! Nate had better take care of you!
hello my niece just got real ill of Transverse Myelitis…i see her mom just so worried…she ii in bad shap…hope she will get well soon..she is my number 1 fan i’m a local musician from fort worth, texas….she loves my crazy music…
OCT 31st 1992 – The day I woke up PARALYZED!
I was celebrating my nephews B’day, you know cake what not…
It got late decided to crash there (took the couch downstairs).
I was awoken by my sis-inlaw (had to feed the baby – needed couch).
It was far to early for this guy – so I crashed on their then empty
dinning room floor. (on my belly) A couple hours passed I awoke on
my own (on my back?). I couldn’t move… nothing but my head!
I tried calling out for help (knowing everyone was downstairs),
nothing! I hadn’t the strength in my lungs. I then began to bang
my head on the floor_ my brother comes up and is like “what the F@#K!,
the kid is sleeping downstairs” then left the room! He didn’t know so
AGAIN banging my head. He comes up “what’s your problem?” before
I said a word he kicked me – I said “I can’t move”… “what”? “Pull me up
by my hair”. (I was rockin’ some BIG 80′s hair back then) “Your hair?”.
“I can’t feel anything” _ He goes to the kitchen comes back w/ a fork…
STAB’s my leg! nothing… He starts to freak out! With tears in my eyes
“pull me up” and he did. “What did you take?”, “did you take anything?”
“No – unless you count CAKE?”… Phone calls were made next thing I
know I’m in LONDON (ON.) Hospital. Tubes / wires everywhere…
Doctor (#1) asks “do you know where you are”, “what’s your name”…
I’m thinking this isn’t good and I’m gonna die! “Hospital”,”Corey”…
He writes something on his clip board and leaves. What was going on?
I ask for 3 things: #1 MOM’S , #2 TINA (my crush), #3 VAN HALEN
(if I was checkin’ out I needed these 3 things!)
Doctors (#1,#2,#3 – there may have been #4) all came in one after another.
Never giving me an answer to what was wrong w/ me?
Mean time my MOM’S returns w/ TINA & VAN HALEN!
These tubes / wires seems my lungs collapsed (this I was told).
So w/ VAN HALEN playing and the girl of my dreams by myside I waited…
It took like 4 -5 days something like that. Doctor #2 / maybe #3 came in
with the news of we need to run more tests.
Tests were done and they came back w/ TRANSVERSE MYELITIS?
“You are a C5, C6, incomplete QUAD -secondary to TRANS_ “.
Uhm O.K. ??? ENGLISH_ F@#KED!!!
Stayed in LONDON therapy (6months) – Wheelchair!
Back here (SARNIA) more therapy…
They had me standing FINALLY! – THEN I rolls into therapy one day
to hear “WE CAN NO LONGER WORK W/ YOU” – “WHAT???”
“WE ARE CURRENTLY UNDER STAFFED SORRY”…
(They kept the 5 80 year old guys with bad hips? – WHAT THE F!)
So there I was and like a week earlier they were taking about me walking!
I’ve re-gained a lot (my left hand is screwed) , and my balance is S@#T
So here I sit in my WHEELCHAIR…
While in LONDON phyc session – he told me “you won’t be able to
play the guitar anymore” – F” him. Sure its harder now BUT still playin’.
Had a girl in my life for a while – someone who could put up w/ the
whole chair thing or look past it for a lil’ while…
SO now these days: I recently got my computer just tryin’ to find old
friends I’ve lost touch with and perhaps make a few new ones…
