Cowboys Are Pissing Me Off!

I have not been this bummed out over the Dallas Cowboys play since Testeverde was our quarterback. Trust me — those were some rough painful years since I thought all would be good when Parcells was coach. It did get better with him and then he left and took all MY rough and tough coaches with him to Miami.

Jerry Jones gets the award for stupidest owner on the face of the planet. He wined and dined and got his pretty new stadium, which includes a Superbowl in 2011, and bought a butt load of good players and paid them a shit load of money, BUT when you have that many good players on one team and not one of them is capable of leading a team, well you get jack shit for return on your money. Way to go Mr. Jones. God, you are an idiot! Thanks to you we are the laughingstock of the NFL.

Jones’ biggest boneheaded move was not finding an adequate quarterback to back up Tony Romo. Oh no — the invisible Romo won’t go down so lets get the two worst QB’s left in the league — Brad “I’m filing for Social Security” Johnson and Brooks“Even the Vikings Don’t Want Me” Bollinger to be backups. I bet Jerry was thinking we will never need em. WRONG! Johnson couldn’t hit the ocean from a boat and how Phillips let him play as long as he did is mind boggling. Bollinger did okay today considering, but I know he isn’t much better than Johnson. It’s sad that is all that we have.

Wade Phillips and Jason Garret NEED TO BE FIRED ASAP! I want a coach that has a set of balls that can control these players. The players aren’t innocent in this as they are grown men, but they have lost all faith in the coaching and why wouldn’t they? Phillips and Garrett have taken us from the ones to win the Superbowl to Super Duds! THEY SUCK! So does pretty much every other coach that we picked up this last year. We still have 13 pro bowlers on our team, but we play like we don’t know what the fuck we are doing! Phillips awe shucks attitude and having absolutely NO CLUE what he is doing needed to be gone a long time ago and to think we were molding Garrett to take over at head coach. That is so not going to happen now. At least it better not happen! Bunch a pansies my coaches are! I’d make a better coach because I know how to yell when they do stupid shit and we would most definitely correct by the next game come hell or high water.

None of this is going to change when Tony Romo comes back either unless Jones hires a few new coaches and the players get their heads out of their asses. The offensive line crumbles like a deck of cards the minute the ball is snapped. Even Tom Brady healthy couldn’t play with this OL. It’s beyond P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C! I’m surprised Barber has as many yards as he does this year — no one is leaving him any holes to get through. And I hate that Garrett is using him 95% of the time with Felix Jones out. I’m just glad he didn’t get hurt these last few games carrying the whole load with Choice getting a few carries. Witten and Barber deserve this bye week more than anyone else. They are about the only two playing with heart right now. Ironically, both have hurt ribs too.

The defense held up and did as well as they could against the Giants since they were on the field 90% of the game. They never got a break today. 3 and out more times than not is going to make even the fittest of players tired. We still aren’t a great defense. We can’t cover deep to save our lives. We haven’t had a decent safety since Darren Woodson retired. I wish he would come coach our defense or at least our safeties because man do they suck. Our corners are too short and too damn slow. That whole back area needs an overhaul and no Pacman Jones was not he fix for it either. He wasn’t that great either and I’m glad he got suspended.

We are plagued by injuries, but so are a lot of other teams and that is never ever an excuse with me. You are in the NFL getting paid way too much money — the backups should be just as qualified as the starters. In a perfect world that would be the case.

We need to turn a lot of shit around if we even want to consider playoffs. At this point in time I don’t think the Cowboys have a chance in hell, but maybe these next two weeks they can think about how shitty they are as an organization before they totally go under. I’ll hold out a little hope, but I’m not going to hold my breath either. You get hurt less when you are a realist when it comes to football.
